Welcome to the Rossair Family Practice Website
Face coverings on public transport - From 10 July 2020, it’s the law that passengers aged 13 and over on public transport must wear a face covering unless they have a reasonable excuse not to. Information on NI Direct states that “There is no need to get a letter from a doctor or government to show that you do not need to wear a face covering. If you have a condition which means you cannot wear a face covering you only need to say, if asked, that you cannot wear a face covering because you are exempt.”
As Covid-19 restrictions begin to be lifted please note that in order to ensure our team can concentrate on the delivery of front-line clinical services the GP will not be issuing letters relating to employment or travel.
THE DOCTOR CANNOT DEAL WITH EMPLOYMENT ISSUES FOR YOU. Guidance for employees, employers and businesses in providing advice about COVID-19 can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-employers-and-businesses-about-covid-19.
Accordingly, travel is undertaken at the risk and discretion of individual patients. We encourage any prospective travellers to closely monitor and follow national guidance that is published by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (www.gov.uk) and the NHS (www.nhs.uk).
To help reduce the potential spread of infection and protect our patients and staff, we are advising ALL patients to phone before coming to the surgery.
If appropriate, you may receive a call back from a GP or be given other relevant advice.
If you need a repeat prescription, please telephone 028 777 69582 between 9am and 11am, order online at www.rossairfamilypractice.co.uk or drop your request in the correct repeat box inside the porch area of the health centre. Please be aware that due to increased demand for prescription requests, over recent days, the processing time for prescriptions may be increased to 72 hours.
If you already have an appointment, only attend if you have been advised to do so by a GP or nurse.
